*Jun 14, 6:30 PM THE COST OF PRIVILEDGE: Taking on the System of White
Supremacy + Racism* The Cost of Privilege is one of those rare books
that manages to blend first-rate analysis around racism amd white
supremacy with first rate class analysis as well. The result is that the
reader gains invaluable insights into the ways in which capitalism and
white supremacy have interacted to produce and reproduce injustice, and
the ways in which the working class has remained divided by the promise
of white privilege to some of its members. This is an important and
insightful book. Author Chip Smith, a seasoned activist, presents
historical analysis, first-hand stories, and critical examinations of
political struggles that challenged white supremacy.Refreshments will be
served. Endorsed by Dorchester People fpr Peace, District 7 Roundtable,

*Jun 16, 4:00 PM QUESTION KERRY ON IRAQ POLICY* Kerry will host a
long-awaited forim, one of the first open meetings with Massachusetts
residents since his '04 campaign. It presents us with an opportunity to
engage him directly to oush him to take more leadership toward passing
policies that would immediately end the war in Iraq and address related
issues of concern to the peace community, such as plans for withdrawal,
the Iraqi oil law and benchmark, the elimination of U.S. bases in Iraqw,
engaging in regional diplomacy (including with Iran!), funding for
humanitarian reconstruction, de-funding the war and more....Please send
your feedback so that we may compile a list of specific and strategic
questions that he should be asked. We'll coordinate our presence at the
event to make sure that there are peace folks scattered throughout the
audience who can ask those questions and build on weak parts of his
answers using "bird-dogging " tactics.Kerry is one of 12 Dems uo for
re-election in 2008.He's a "safe" candidate and only one of 12 who voted
againist the supplemental bill, it will be good to challenge him more on
