The Liberation Poetry Collective presents Poets Against the Killing Fields,

 a new anthology published by Trilingual Press. The book includes poems read

 by the ten featured poets at anti-war readings in the Boston area over the past few years.

 

>From the Forward: A collection of poems and essays by a group of writers diverse in age, class, and ethnic backgrounds, the book's stand against the wars of domination that are now taking place across the world is, at the same time, "an affirmation of life . . . and a cry for peace, a peace with justice and respect for human dignity." 

Poets Against the Killing Fields is a testament to cultural activism, reflecting a shared outrage particularly regarding the ongoing wars in the Middle East, in Iraq and in Afghanistan; readers will also find in the poetry a call for beginning a sincere process of reconciliation with justice and solidarity among the peoples.
