"RADIO with a VIEW"

WMBR, Cambridge 88.1 FM and wmbr.org (for live stream and archive)
10am - 12noon

With Dave Goodman & Marc Stern

** Earlier this year, the National Institutes of Health released a report
saying that putting a Level-4 infectious disease laboratory in Boston's
South End was no more dangerous that putting it in a suburban or rural area.
On November 29th, 2007, in response to a commission from the MA Executive
Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, an independent body, the
National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences issued a
review report calling the NIH study "not sound and credible."

We'll hear excerpts from a press conference featuring two authors of the NAS
report as well as an attorney from the Conservation Law Foundation and
plaintiffs in the federal lawsuit which seeks to stop the construction of
the lab. We've also invited a spokesperson from Boston University.

** Conversation with author, teacher, and Professor John Nirenberg,
currently a faculty member at Marlboro College in Marlboro, VT. John is
beginning a 40 day/40 night march from Faneuil Hall, Boston to Washington
D.C. to demonstrate support for impeachment proceedings against President
Bush and V.P. Cheney.

** Greg Anrig, Vice President for Programs and Policy at the Century
Foundation and author of the new book, "The Conservatives Have No Clothes:
Why Right Wing Ideas Keep Failing."

If there's time:

** Follow-up information on the situation in Burma, efforts to unionize
health care workers, and the untimely death of peace activist Randall
Forsberg.

** "Grace Notes" with Grace Ross
