Live-in House Manager for a Transitional Residence for Women
This is a Transitional Residence in Jamaica Plain for women veterans who are dealing with PTSD and cases of domestic violence, sexual abuse and substance abuse.
The house hosts 4 to 7 women residents from all ages and 3 house managers.
As a house manager, you will get a free private room and you will share the kitchen with the other two house managers and the rest of the house with all the women.
The house manager's responsibilities consist of: covering two evening shifts a week (5pm to 8am next day) and some 24 hour weekend shifts (8 am to 8 am next day) every month. During their shifts, the house managers have to perform some administrative tasks at the house, be available to respond to the residents needs, and resolve small roomate conflicts when they arise always with the back up of on call VA personnel. You are not expected to be awake on your overnight shifts, only be at the house an available.
