  Kim McLarin Reads from JUMP AT THE SUN
                                    This   This novel intertwines the  
stories of three generations of African American mothers and  
daughters, each in her own way both enduring and challenging the  
legacy of slavery. Jump at the Sun was chosen by the Black Caucus of  
the American Library Association as a 2007 Fiction Honor book and the  
Massachusetts Center for the Book as the 2007 MA Book Awards Fiction  
Honor book. Ms McLarin hosts BASIC BLACK on WGBH.
