The

Mili The Militant Labor Forum presents a special event to raise funds for The
Militant newspaper:

From Africa to Latin America
to the U.S.
The Rise in Working Class Resistance
to Austerity and War

· Protests
are taking place around the world against rising food prices and low wages.
· Workers and
farmers throughout Latin America are taking place in debates on what kind of
governments we should fight for, from Venezuela to Bolivia to Ecuador and
Paraguay.
· In the U.S.
mobilizations on May 1st will demand legalization and protest the
raids and deportations aimed at intimidating immigrant workers who have shown
they will not be silenced.
· Independent
truckers have organized protests, including in Washington, D.C. on April 28,
against the rising cost of fuel.

The Militant
newspaper has covered these as well as taking a stand against Washington’s wars
in Iraq and Afghanistan and in defense of the Cuban revolution. Join the efforts to raise $100,000 to help
keep the paper publishing and to keep bringing eyewitness reports from the
struggles by workers and farmers.

Join a
discussion with the editor of the Militant about the worldwide economic crisis
and rising resistance by working people.

Featuring: Olympia Newton, editor of The Militant
Newton has covered
