What Mainstream Media Don't Tell Us About Iran, Iraq and U.S. Foreign Policy

What: U.S. Tour of Duty presents The Iran Talks featuring Scott Ritter
When: February 26, 27 and 28, 2008 at 7:30 PM
Where: The West Newton Cinema, 1296 Washington Street, Newton, MA (2/26)

02601 (2/27)
Pleasant Street Congregational Church, 75 Pleasant Street, Arlington, MA
02476 (2/28)

Join former UN weapons inspector SCOTT RITTER for a discussion on the
corporate media's coverage of the U.S. occupation of Iraq, the Bush
administration's secret plans for the "War on Terror," and the need for
diplomacy. Find out why Ritter, who visited Iran on a fact-finding mission,
commented, "We are seeing history repeat itself."

The suggested donation at the door is $10 in Newton and Arlington, and $15
(adults), $10 (students) in Hyannis. The Hyannis event will also include a
special performance by comedian JIMMY TINGLE. A book sale and signing will
immediately follow each presentation. The Arlington event will include an
opportunity to meet Scott at a fundraising reception (wine, hors d'oeuvres)
at the same venue, from 6:00PM-7:15PM ($30/$35 – in advance/at door. For
tickets call 781.316.2018.) For more information call 310.842.8794 or visit
http://www.ustourofduty.org.

In addition to appearing at public forums, Ritter is meeting with
legislators, journalists, and high school students to stimulate a national
dialogue about global engagement in general, and how to deal with Iran and
Iraq in particular.

The Iran Talks are co-sponsored by U.S. Tour of Duty, Peace Action, and
Fellowship of Reconciliation. The Massachusetts events are co-sponsored by
Boston United for Justice with Peace, Massachusetts Peace Action, Newton
Dialogues, Cape Codders for Peace and Justice, Arlington/Lexington United
for Justice with Peace and U.S. Tour of Duty. For more information about the
tour visit http://www.ustourofduty.org.

SCOTT RITTER, author of TARGET IRAN and IRAQ CONFIDENTIAL, was one of
UNSCOM's most senior weapons inspectors in Iraq between 1991 and 1998, after
having served for eight years as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Marine
Corps. As a Marine, he conducted arms inspections in the former Soviet
Union, and provided analysis of Iraq's missile capacity to General
Schwarzkopf in the 1991 Gulf War. Nation Books is the publisher of "Target
Iran: The Truth About the White House's Plans for Regime Change" and "Iraq
Confidential." "The important thing to know about Scott Ritter is that he
was right." - Seymour Hersh

U.S. TOUR OF DUTY promotes dialogue about civic issues by organizing public
forums, developing media strategies and producing audio/video content.
