Boston, MA, January 27, 2009 Award-winning journalist Amy Goodman, host 
of Democracy Now!, is on a national speaking tour to launch her third 
book with journalist David Goodman, Standing Up to the Madness: Ordinary 
Heroes in Extraordinary Times.

*DESCRIPTION: * Paul Farmer, co-founder of Partners In Health; actor and 
activist Matt Damon, who recently visited Haiti to assist victims 
devastated by hurricanes; Massachusetts State Representative and 
Haitian-American Linda Dorcena Forry; and Brian Concannon, Jr., director 
of the Institute for Justice and Democracy in Haiti, share their stories 
of eradicating disease and injustice in one of the world's poorest 
nations, and discuss how changes in U.S. policy can help to build a 
stronger, more resilient, and prosperous Haiti. Amy Goodman, host of 
Democracy Now!, moderates.

*TICKETS:* PLEASE NOTE: Seating is limited and restricted to two seats 
per person. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Doors to the 
main hall open one hour before the program begins. Once the main hall is 
full, audience members will be seated in an overflow theater where the 
forum will be streamed live.
