THE COMMUNITY CHURCH OF BOSTON
SUNDAY SPEAKERS FORUM presents...

VIRGINIA PRATT
"Foreclosure and Its Ugly Subprime Roots"

Virginia Pratt has been working as a foreclosure prevention counselor with a
local non-profit agency for about seven years. During this time, she has
witnessed a massive surge in at-risk homeowners seeking help. She has also
noticed patterns of abuse, predatory lending and racial discrimination-or
what one might term "reverse red-lining" in Boston's poorest neighborhoods.

As someone on the frontlines of the foreclosure epidemic, Virginia can
discuss its roots and consequences plus local initiatives to reverse the
toxic trend. Current treasurer of Community Church, her past experience
includes HIV prevention and education, as well as work with ex-offenders in
re-entry programs.
