Americans for Fairness in Lending (AFFIL) is seeking a Staff
Organizer, to be filled as soon as possible.
Salary: $40,000 - $45,000
Americans for Fairness in Lending (AFFIL) works to reform the lending
industry to protect Americans' financial assets. AFFIL was
established in 2007 to raise awareness about predatory lending through
its website and ad campaign. AFFIL works with its national Partner
organizations, local ally organizations, and individual members to
advocate for reform of the lending industry.
AFFIL is seeking an experienced organizer to design and implement an
organizing strategy over a nine month period. (Employment beyond this
period is contingent upon continued funding.) Most of the work will
be done from our Boston office via phone and electronic
communications, although some travel will be necessary. The Staff
Organizer will be part of a very small staff and a key member of the
AFFIL team. This is a new position at AFFIL, and successful
candidates will demonstrate their ability to both shape and implement
our organizing efforts, as well as contribute to our Web 2.0 presence.
The Staff Organizer will have an exciting opportunity to help protect
communities and individuals from the devastating effects of predatory
lending. Please explore this website for more information about
AFFIL.
