A documentary
film
 
        At The River I Standexamines the events leading up to the
strike 0f 1,300 Memphis sanitation workers in the Spring of 1968, Dr. Martin
Luther Kings's involvement in that strike, and his subsequent assassination in
Memphis.
        On the anniversary of King’s
assassination come to a film showing and discussion on lessons from the civil
rights battles of the past and the fight for labor and Black rights today.
