Watertown Citizens for Enviornment Safety will be presenting a mini-conference on Saturday, May 9, 1-4 PM at Watertown Public Library in Watertown Square on Main St. (Rt. 20).  

             Program Title: Economic Recovery and Beyond: Redirceting Military and Energy Resources

             Program Speaker:  Anita Dancs, PhD, Assistant Professor of Economics, Western New England College and former Research Director at the National Priorities Project (NPP).  She researches and writes on the impact of federal policies and is the author of numerous NPP publications, most recently, The Military Cost of Securing Energy.

             Program Speaker: Frank Ackerman, PhD, Senior Economist, Stockholm Environment Institute - US Center.  He has written extensively about the economics of climate change and other environmental problems. His latest book is "Can We Afford the Future? The Economics of a Warming World (2009)".
