This year Cambridge Forum begins its 43rd season offering free public discussions
in Harvard Square.  We're beginning our forums earlier--at 6:30 pm--this fall, hoping
this is a good time to catch you between your day job and your evening commitments.

Our programs will be looking at the challenges facing the Obama administration and
the multiple and fascinating ways that human creatvity is expressed.  We're looking
forward to some lively and vital discussions.  Come and add your voice!

and Charles Sennott, founder of the on-line news service GlobalPost, to discuss 
the challenges the Obama administration faces in Afghanistan.

Princeton-based poet and songwriter Paul Muldoon joins poet and playwright Elizabeth
Swados to explore the relationship between creativity and mood.  For more than a
 century artistic genius has been linked in the popular imagination with suffering,
mental illness, and untimely death--as though creativity somehow rendered artists
unfit for ordinary human life.  Swados, who has detailed her battles with bipolar
disorder in print, and Muldoon, who wrote some of the haunting lyrics on Warren 
Zevon's last CD, reflect on this Romantic idea of artistic creativity.
