Come on out this Sunday, March 1st, for 3 powerful local rallies at MA
coal plants. Stand with others across the country to ask that our state
and nation end the deadly use of coal and start building the secure green future. We will draw attention to the mass civil disobedience in Washington DC the following day (www.capitolclimateaction.com) as well as the local and global impact of burning coal for power.
Please join us locally to call for an end to the unsustainable and
destructive use of coal and other fossil fuels that is driving us to
the brink of climate catastrophe, economic unraveling, ecological
breakdown and endless war.

Sunday, March 1st

Noon: Salem Harbor Power Station (Salem),

1pm: NRG & Brayton Pt. (Somerset) & Mount Tom (Holyoke)

Stand together for

Healthy People, Peace & the Planet!

GOING DOWN TO DC?

We have a limited number of spots available in a van that will be
heading for DC directly following the MA Stop Coal rally in Somerset on
Sunday afternoon, March 1st. Thanks to Greenpeace, transportation costs
are covered, but there will be a $50/person charge to cover 2 nights'
hotel costs. For more information, visit http://securegreenfuture.org/get-on-the-van or contact Emily (emily at securegreenfuture.org, 617-775-5827)

Help us spread the word and send the message to the
powers-that-be that a rapid phase-out of all coal-powered plants is
needed NOW! We are planning legal demonstrations, and ask that all
participants respect the call to refrain from civil disobedience on
March 1.

The Stop Coal - Save our Future! rallies are being organized by
the Mass. Coalition for Healthy Communities (MCHC) / Secure Green
Future (SGF), Toxics Action Center, Clean Air Coalition, Clean Water
Action, Green Action Citizens v. Coal, and HealthLink.

For more information, visit www.securegreenfuture.org/stopcoal,
or contact Eli Beckerman at 617-821-1453 or eli at securegreenfuture.org.
