Dear Friends,

I am writing to ask whether you might help bring attention to a new film opening in Boston on February 12 and in Brookline on February 19, THE MOST DANGEROUS MAN IN AMERICA: DANIEL ELLSBERG AND THE PENTAGON PAPERS by Judith Ehrlich and Rick Goldsmith.
I am hoping for an email to your colleagues, a posting on your web site, or "fan" us on Facebook, and tell your friends and associates. Digital resources (like ideas for action and web banners) are available at http://www.mostdangerousman.org/get-involved, and I am available to help you.

In addition to this run in theaters, the film is nominated for an Oscar®, and will air in October on PBS's POV series. We stand ready to make the most of it with non-profits around the country, whose work can be supported by the important messages Daniel Ellsberg's story has to offer. We are particularly interested in reaching young people. Please let me know your thoughts, and thanks in advance, for whatever you can do. If relevant dates for your area don't appear in this email, you can find other dates here.

Best,
Suzanne Stenson O'Brien | Outreach & Media | 612-868-7619 | suzobr at mac.com

P.S. We would like to know how the film might be useful to you.
Could you take a minute and let us know what you've done/will do, or just cc me on whatever goes out?

Riveting political thriller. Timely. Persuasive. True.

In 1971, Daniel Ellsberg, a high-level Pentagon official and Vietnam War strategist, concludes that the war is based on decades of lies, and he leaks 7,000 pages of top secret documents to The New York Times, making headlines around the world. Hailed as a hero, vilified as a traitor, and ostracized by even his closest colleagues, Ellsberg risks life in prison to stop a war he helped plan.

This riveting story of one man's profound change of heart is also a piercing look at the world of government secrecy as revealed by the ultimate insider. Marked by a landmark battle between America's greatest newspapers and its president—that goes to the Supreme Court—this political thriller unravels a saga that leads directly to Watergate, Nixon's resignation and the end of the Vietnam War.
