want to change this miserable condition which exists on this earth." --

The
last year of Malcolm X is one of the the most important in his
political development but also the least discussed or well known.
Malcolm X had long been an uncompromising opponent of imperialist
oppression, exploitation and degradation. During the last year of his
life he also became an outspoken opponent of capitalism. From March
1964, when Malcolm X broke with the Nation of Isalm, to February 1965
when he was assassinated, Malcolm X spent twenty-six weeks abroad,
visiting Africa, the Middle East, along with brief trips to Britain and France. He drew conclusions about the importance of the role of women in measuring the progress of any society, the impact of imperialism, and he hailed the revolutionary government in Algeria headed by Ahmed Ben Bella. He championed the socialist revolution in Cuba and its proletarian leadership.
