*The House and Senate have voted and signed the MA Budget for the upcoming
year and we believe that we have a victory-- we have achieved our goal of
removing the hateful anti-immigrant and anti-American amendments from our
state budget!!!*

*We will be holding a Press Conference today at 1PM in front of the State
House! Please come to support us and hear our collective statement on the
final results of the budget. We will also announce if we are ending our 19
day vigil at that moment!!*
* *
*We will be holding a Celebration today at 2PM in front of the State House!
Please come to celebrate with us and join together as we evaluate our
victory and plan for the future.*

We came together in a time of urgency, planned, mobilized, organized and
maintained a 24/7 ongoing vigil. We shared friends and resources together on
the front steps of the State House. We formed a coalition/campaign of
community centers, social justice organizations, unions, faith-based
organizations, changed minds in the streets and changed public space.
Because there is no plaza in Boston, we created one in front of the State
House where people who read about us in the newspaper joined us, where
friends from other organizations joined us and where strangers in the
streets who were so moved by us decided to spend the night at the vigil. We
stayed strong under the sun and rain, we grew bigger and we planned and
fought together better everyday.

Sincerely,
*Mass Hope 2010*
