Boston Socialist Alternative Schedule of Events for Fall 2010

 Thursday, September 9th at 6:30pm--Union Organizing in YOUR Workplace! with
John Harris, negotiator for a newly-formed bargaining unit of the
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 2222. Come learn the
lessons of this important victory at Encuentro Cinco in Chinatown on the
fifth floor of 33 Harrison Avenue.

Tuesday, September 14th at 7pm--Socialist Alternative branch meeting with
guest speaker Cian Prendiville on the Committee for a Workers' International
in Ireland. UMass-Boston's Wheatley Building 4th floor lounge.

Wednesday, September 15th at 6:30pm--Coalition meeting for the October 7th
national day of action to defend education. Encuentro Cinco, Chinatown. *Fifth
floor of 33 Harrison Ave.*

Thursday, September 16th at 1pm--The Case for Socialism with Cian
Prendiville, an international speaker from Ireland at UMass-Boston. Campus
Center 3rd Floor, Room 3545. Contact boston at socialistalternative.org.

Thursday, September 16th at 7pm--The Case for Socialism with Cian
Prendiville, an international speaker from Ireland at the Democracy Center
in Harvard Square, 45 Mount Auburn Street.

Wednesday, September 22nd at 7pm--Socialist Alternative branch meeting on
"Why Unions Matter" with Rob Mirabito, activist in Carpenters Union Local
33. UMass-Boston's Wheatley Building 4th Floor Lounge.

Saturday, September 25th--Conference of the Boston May Day Coalition in East
Boston. Details TBA. Contact boston at socialistalternative.org

Tuesday, September 28th at 7pm--Socialist Alternative branch meeting on "The
Class Struggle in Europe and the Power of Protest" with Josh Koritz.

Wheatley Building 4th Floor Lounge.

Tuesday, October 5th at 7pm--Socialist Alternative branch meeting on "The
ABCs of the Economic Crisis" with Genevieve Morse, shop steward in the Mass
Teachers Association.

Thursday, October 7th--National Day of Action to Defend Education. Rallies
and a press conference will take place throughout the day with a unified
action at the State House beginning at 4:30pm.

Saturday and Sunday--October 16th and 17th. The Fifth Annual New England
Socialist Conference with Cindy Sheehan, Steve Early, and a Debate with the
Tea Party--Umass-Boston's Wheatley Building with main forums in the Snowden
Auditorium. See boston.socialistalternative.org for details as they arise.

All events are free and open to the public although donations might be
sought at some meetings.
