Protest the continued injustice in Bhopal, India!
What: The Bhopal disaster, the worst industrial disaster in history, has
already claimed over 25,000 lives and continues to affect the health of
over 100,000 other people. Meanwhile, Dow Chemical, the corporation
that is facing liability for the health effects of the disaster and the
water
contamination is denying its responsibility to compensate the survivors.
We will protest against Dow’s criminal negligence and irresponsibility.
Who: Members of the International Coalition for Justice in Bhopal and
the Association for India’s Development, as well as other supporters.
Why: To help bring justice to the survivors of the Bhopal disaster after
26 years of struggle for basic human rights, health care and clean water.
When: Friday, December 3rd, 2010, from 9 AM to 6 PM.
Where: Boston University, MIT, Harvard, Tufts, and Harvard Square.
9 AM – 10 AM: Boston University, George Sherman Union Plaza;
775 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA.
11 AM – 12 PM: Massachusetts Institute of Technology main entrance;
77 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA.
1 PM – 2 PM: Harvard University, in front of the Science Center;
1 Oxford Street, Cambridge, MA.
3 PM – 4 PM: Tufts University, patio in front of the Tisch library;
35 Professors Row, Medford, MA.
5 PM – 6 PM: Harvard Square, the Pit, behind the Harvard T station;
1400 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA.
