Where: First Church In Jamaica Plain, 6 Eliot St, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130
Date: February 3, 2011
Time: 7:00pm–9:00pm
Speakers: Hugh Joseph (Tufts University), Glynn Lloyd (City Growers) and Jamey Lionette and Edith Murnane (City of Boston)

As part of the JP New Economy Transition series, this forum will look at the current state of food security and food justice in the northeast. It will also explore how our community can work to strengthen the local food economy. Our expert panel will explore questions such as:

How vulnerable are we to disruption in food supply?
Where do our calories come from? How many are produced in our region?
What are the easiest interventions our community can make to enhance our food security?
What are the bigger policy interventions and food system redesign goals?

The city of Boston’s first Food Policy Director, Edith Murnane, will moderate the evening’s panel. Come find out more and share your ideas about Food Security in Jamaica Plain.
