of Pigs
In fewer than 72 hours of combat April 17–19, 1961, Cuba’s revolutionary armed 
forces defeated a U.S.-organized mercenary invasion, setting an example for 
workers, farmers, and youth the world over that with political consciousness, 
class solidarity, courage, and revolutionary leadership, one can stand up to 
seemingly insurmountable odds and win.
That example continues to point a road forward for working people today, who, 
from Wisconsin to Egypt, are beginning to resist the effects of the worldwide 
economic and social crisis wrought by the capitalist exploiters.

En menos de 72 horas de combate en abril de 1961, las fuerzas armadas 
revolucionarias de Cuba derrotaron una invasión de 1500 mercenarios organizada 
por Washington. Al hacerlo, el pueblo cubano sentó un ejemplo para los 
trabajadores, agricultores y jóvenes en todo el mundo: que dotados de conciencia 
política, solidaridad de clase, valor indoblegable y una dirección 
revolucionaria, es posible hacer frente a un poderío enorme y a probabilidades 
aparentemente irreversibles, y vencer.
