THE COMMUNITY CHURCH OF BOSTON
SUNDAY SPEAKERS FORUM presents...

Sunday, May 15, 2011
12:00pm

The Annual Sacco & Vanzetti Social Justice Award
TRUTH AND JUSTICE RADIO
(note start time change - 12:00pm)

Many know the travesty of justice that the Sacco & Vanzetti case represents,
of two Italian immigrants and anarchists who were unjustly targeted,
convicted and sentenced to death. Community Church strives to keep this
memory alive by reminding ourselves that the injustices of the 1920's and
indeed throughout history, continue to this day. We are proud to be among
the many groups working to create a more just, humane and community-centered
world, and are proud to honor Truth and Justice Radio on this day.

Truth and Justice Radio has been brining honest reporting and stories to the
greater-Boston area for over a decade. Honesty and transparency in media are
values too often hidden from the public. The staff of Truth and Justice
Radio speak truth to power every Sunday morning. Stan Robinson, Steve
Cornie, Martin Voelker, and the late Sherif Fam are among the essential
players who keep the work of Truth and Justice Radio alive. Since Sherif's
passing others have stepped up to continue the reporting of "This Week in
Palestine," including Salma Abu Ayyash. It is because of all of their
incredible work that the Community Church of Boston will be honoring Truth
and Justice Radio with the 2010 Sacco and Vanzetti Social Justice Award. We
will sing, listen, and eat together as we celebrate the gift of Truth and
Justice Radio!
