*1. Bring Food and Friends: Friday Night Socialist Movie Showing!*

This upcoming *Friday, May 27th*, Socialist Alternative will be hosting a
showing of "Salt of the Earth" at *45 Mount Auburn Street *(The Democracy
Center) in Harvard Square. Bring your favorite dish and a few dollars for a
donation as you join us to watch this classic movie about the struggles of
workers, women and immigrants. This movie was once banned in this country!

The potluck will provide food that can be enjoyed by vegetarians, vegans and
meat-eaters alike! Child care will be provided as well! *This event will
begin at 7pm and end in time to still have a night out on the town.*

2. Issue #21 of the Boston Organizer, New Radio Time Slot and More Updates
on the Local Website

Boston.SocialistAlternative.Org has been an under-utilized resource over the
last few years, but all that will change!

We are going to start regular postings of events and articles, beginning
with this week's addition of the twenty-first issue of Socialist
Alternative's local newsletter, the Boston Organizer. Articles for the
summer issue include "Massachusetts Democrats Show Their True Colors" by
Carpenters Local 33 activist Rob Mirabito (personal capacity) about the
attack on collective bargaining. Other articles include "Where's Our
Money?", an expose on corporate givebacks nationally, locally and
state-wide. Also, see the Boston Organizer pieces on the steps forward in
the labor movement by nurses and firefighters as well as our call for an
anti-cuts coalition.

*Our weekly radio show on WMFO (91.5) is occupying a new time slot from 2pm
to 4pm on Sundays.* You can hear an archive of previous episodes in the
schedule archive at wmfo.org. Check out the SA radio facebook page here:

*3. An Appeal to Help Build the Fight-Back and a Working-Class Alternative*

Think of a number. Double it. Then read this appeal, and you'll double it
again (at least).
