1. Debt Ceiling Debate and Plans for *Massive Cuts*: Meeting Thursday
Evening at UMass-Boston

The threat of further financial meltdown due to Tea Party madness serves as
a smokescreen for the plans of ALL corporate politicians. Obama and other
Democrats are proposing the biggest cuts to federal programs in many
decades, a dismantling of the New Deal.

As this issue dominates political discussion, Socialist Alternative
continues to campaign against all cuts to jobs and services. Come to this
important discussion about how to fight against cuts and the need for
independent working class politics. You can come just for the political
discussion or stick around for the rest of the meeting while Socialist
Alternative discusses our campaigns and plans.

Thursday, July 28th, beginning at 7pm

UMass-Boston's Wheatley 4th Floor Lounge
