Boston Wobblies (IWW members), Harvard University union members and others will join Verizon workers at this location today. Please come out and support Verizon IBEW/CWA workers in their struggle to preserve working class jobs. 45000 workers have been on strike for 12 days taking a stand against corporate greed which threatens the livelihoods of all workers. The economic downturn has emboldened Verizon (a Fortune 500 company which paid $0 taxes but then received over 1 billion in tax breaks) to try to take away workers' pension and retiree benefits, jack up healthcare costs, weaken contractual protections against layoffs and even get rid of the Martin Luther King Day and Veteran's Day holidays.  
 
Striking workers have been very encouraged by big shows of support, so please try to come today! (You can also join them at this location and at other stores during regular store hours or join the 24/7 picket at Verizon HQ at 185 Franklin St, Boston).
