 1. Harvard No Layoffs Rally: Harvard administrators just announced a plan
to restructure the library system that will make libraries "more efficient"
by laying off workers.
Workers will have jobs restructured and cut by "voluntary and involuntary
means." High unemployment rates make finding a new job nearly impossible,
especially for older workers. Meanwhile, Harvard's endowment grew 21% last
year, to $32 billion.

Harvard has the money to keep its workers employed!! Join us as we rally
with Harvard's library staff to oppose the layoffs in front of the the
Holyoke Center!

2. Mass Occupy First General Assembly: Occupy groups are springing up all
the time from our neighborhoods to college campuses. The first meeting of
Mass Occupy hosted 17 different groups and discussed many possible
campaigns. The first ever General Assembly will be held on Saturday,
February 18th beginning at noon. The T fare and service campaign will be
discussed alongside the education actions on March 1st, International
Women's Day events, the May Day actions and much, much more...
