Introduction to Motivational Interviewing:
An Instructor-Led Online Course
What: Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a person-centered, goal-oriented, guiding method to enhance people’s own motivation to change.
Who: Agencies seeking to incorporate evidence-based practices into their programs. Clinical directors and supervisors. Health, behavioral health, and social service practitioners of all disciplines. Individuals looking to incorporate person-centered motivational practices into their work.
Why: Thecourse will cover the foundational knowledge, spirit and skills of this evidence-based approach.
Trainers: Ken Kraybill, MSW and Jeff Olivet, MA who are members of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT)
When: Meets weekly on Wednesdays, from September 26, 2012 through October 24, 2012 (5 sessions) 1:00 – 2:00 pm Eastern (includes weekly live meetings and self-directed learning)
