Harmony Wu is an activist and organizer involved with the "Occupy the
'Burbs" network of suburban Occupy groups, as well as with Occupy Needham in
her own hometown. She is on the statewide Organizing Committee of
Progressive Massachusetts <http://progressivemass.com> , a new, grassroots
activist organization that works to elect progressives to office, and to
hold them accountable once elected. She talks with us about the meaning of
progressive politics, the immediate prospects and tasks of progressive
politics in Massachusetts, and the relevance of action around legislation to
the Occupy movement. We will also learn a little about Emerge Massachusetts
<http://www.emergema.org/> , a program with the mission of increasing the
numbers of Democratic women in political office.
