A founding member of the Party for Socialism & Liberation, Peta Lindsay is the PSL's 2012 candidate for President of the United States.  Lindsay, 28, and her running mate Yari Osorio, 27, are on the ballot in 13 states, including New England states Rhode Island and Vermont.

For over a decade, Lindsay has helped lead countless demonstrations across the country and has been a dynamic organizer in a wide variety of movements, from organizing against police brutality to fighting anti-LGBT bigotry.

At the meeting, Lindsay will address why the PSL is running in the elections, the campaign's 10-point program and why we we fight for socialism. Group discussion, with question & answer, to follow.

The Lindsay/Osorio campaign demands include:

+ Make a job a constitutional right!
+ Stop racist police brutality and mass incarceration!
+ Seize the Banks! Jail Wall St. Criminals!

Check out the following statements from the Lindsay/Osorio presidential campaign:

"For the second time in two days, I was reminded of apartheid South
Africa. Not because of the brutal, racist police but because of the
response of the young people who were there, who took the lead in the
protests that took off, outside."
