*Rep. Mike Capuano *heads up a group of community and political leaders who
will speak out for the Budget for All this *Thursday, October 25, 10am*, at
the Codman Square Health Center, 637 Washington Street, Dorchester.   Five
blocks from Shawmut (T).



*Jimmy Tingle for President, *The Funniest Campaign in History, will be an
evening of laughs about serious business in support of the Budget for All
Referendum.   *Tuesday, October 30*.  We’ll watch the final Warren-Brown
debate at 7pm, and Jimmy’s show begins at 8.   Davis Square Theater, 255
Elm St., Somerville. $10 donation, $5 for students, to benefit the Budget

*Rep. Jim McGovern* joined Mayor David Narkewicz of Northampton, state reps
Peter Kocot and Ellen Story, two candidates, and two city councilors and spoke
out for the Budget for All <http://budget4allmass.org/node/48> at
Northampton High School on Monday, October 15.  “You are the real patriots.
We need a new activism, a budget that reflects the values of this country….
This [ referendum ] ought to stiffen the backbone of some of those
representatives. I look forward to reading in Congress the list of
communities that has passed it,” McGovern told the crowd of 125 people.

We will be ordering *palm cards for election day *featuring the same design
as the yard and rally signs.To figure out how many cards your town needs,
consider the number of polling places in your town, the number of
volunteers you can recruit to cover them, and the voter turnout in a
presidential year.   Figure that 50% of the voters show up between 7-9:30
am and 5-8 pm, and that 2/3 of voters take one if offered.   *Please give
Cole or Paul your estimate by Thursday, October 25!*   There will be no
charge to the towns for palm cards, though donations in any amount are
still needed and will be gratefully accepted.
