China Study Group looks at crucial Party Congress and US China bashing

Time: 7 pm, Thursday Nov. 8

Place: Center for Marxist Education, 550 Mass. Ave, 2nd floor,  
Central Square, Cambridge

Nov. 8 opens the 18th Congress of the Communist Party of China, one  
of the world's most important political events in 2012.  The China  
Study Group will examine the runup to the Congress, including the Bo  
Xilai affair.  Discussion will include the context of the meeting  
including the competitive China-bashing in the US presidential  
campaign and the US pivot to strategic focus in the Asia -Pacific  
Region.
