The “Fiscal Cliff”
the Capitalist Crisis
and the Working Class

   The
“fiscal cliff,” refers to Congress’ decision to automatically enact deep
spending cuts and tax raises on Jan. 1, 2013, if it fails to reach agreement on
a series of budget-cutting measures that include cuts to Social Security,
Medicare and other programs.  
  
Underneath the sharp tactical debate in Washington there is bipartisan agreement to
press ahead with some type of “austerity” measures to make working people pay
for rising government debt
   However, the capitalists’ fiscal problems
are not the causes of their crisis. They are results and symptoms of a more
fundamental and longer-term slowdown in worldwide capitalist production and
trade. This crisis cannot be fixed by financial, monetary or fiscal fiddling.
It will only be fixed when working people take governmental power out of the
hands of the capitalists and their lieutenants in the Democratic and Republican
parties and replace it with the rule of our class – the working class.

la Crisis Capitalista y la Clase Trabajadora

El "abismo fiscal", se refiere a la decisión del Congreso
automáticamente promulgar profundos recortes y aumentos de impuestos en enero
de 2013, si es incapaz de alcanzar un acuerdo sobre una serie de medidas de
reducción de presupuesto que incluyen recortes en Seguridad Social, Medicare y
otros programas.
   Bajo el fuerte debate táctico en
Washington hay acuerdo bipartidista para seguir adelante con medidas de
"austeridad" para que la clase trabajadora pagar por la creciente
deuda del Gobierno
   Sin embargo, los problemas fiscales de
los capitalistas no son las causas de su crisis. Son resultados y síntomas de
una desaceleración más fundamental y a largo plazo en la producción capitalista
mundial y el comercio. Esta crisis no puede fijarse por trasteo financiera. Sólo
se solucionará cuando trabajadores tomen el poder gubernamental fuera de las
manos de los capitalistas y sus lugartenientes en los partidos demócrata y
republicanos y reemplazarlo conla regla de nuestra clase – la clase trabajadora.
