*I sent an email a few days ago about RootsCamp. If you missed it, scroll
all the way down and you'll find that email with a lot more details. *As
I've mentioned, it's very, very rare that Socializing for
Justice<http://www.sojust.org/> finds
an opportunity to co-sponsor events because we purposely don't align
ourselves with single issue groups. So it is with great pleasure that I
share that Socializing for Justice has once again partnered with New
Organizing Institute <http://neworganizing.com/> (NOI) to host RootsCamp MA
in early 2013. Just over two years ago, we gathered almost 100 local
activists to discuss the successes and challenges facing social change
organizations, and to help create a diverse, powerful and inclusive
gathering of passionate activists. We heard each others organizing
challenges and left with solutions to make our individual and collective
efforts stronger and better.

*We're ready to do this again, but we need your help. **We're looking for a
few more people to join the RootsCamp Organizing Committee.* *Our first
planning meeting is on Monday, January 28th in downtown Boston. Email
robbie at robbiesamuels.com to get the details. *We're doing this as
volunteers and could very much use your help to make this happen and
strengthen Massachusetts' cross-issue progressive community, network and
movement (see it's right in line with SoJust's vision!). We also need

6+ years ago. *As always we'll help you meet people - so no worries if

Was one of your resolutions to be more productive? More organized? Find
balance between work and everything else that matters to you? This workshop
begins with a discussion of how time should be viewed and valued; why one
needs to manage it; and how successful people tend to view and use time.
Then we move onto the five foundational principles of time management, and
contrast examples of managed and unmanaged time schedules. We then discuss
right and wrong ways to use time, lifestyles that support and inhibit
success, and techniques for budgeting and tracking your time. We also
discuss how to set priorities; how to decide and maintain boundaries; and
how to “create” time through delegation and other techniques. Finally, we
discuss tips for sticking to your schedule, and dealing with unsupportive
people. After the workshop, many participants report being more productive
and less stressed.

you'll want to join us for Dating While Progressive, a fun and welcoming
singles party!* This *Socializing for Justice* event is co-hosted by the
Boston chapter of the *National Organization for Men Against Sexism*
(NOMAS-Boston), the
Boston chapter of the *New Leaders Council* (NLC Boston), the *Bisexual
Resource Center*, the *Boston Queer Polyamorous Women's Group*, and *New
Wave - Young Boston Feminists.*

SoJust is all about building a cross-cultural, cross-issue progressive
community, network and movement in Boston. We're doing it by putting the
SOCIAL back in SOCIAL JUSTICE. We focus on creating welcoming spaces that

SoJust isn't a non-profit 501(c)(3) and receives no outside funding. We're
a grassroots volunteer-run member-supported cross-issue progressive
