Dear friends!

encuentro5 invites you to lunch! We are gathering Boston’s
progressive<http://dailycaller.com/2010/11/09/can-progressives-define-what-to-be-a-progressive-actually-means/>
nonprofit <http://chriscoyier.net/2010/06/17/nonprofit/> community and
local progressive organizations in a series of Brown Bag Lunches to explore
the many facets of non-profit organizations and social justice, spread
networks, and encourage collaboration.

Our upcoming Brown Bag Lunch presentation is next *Thursday, November
14th*at 1pm with Alex Papali of the Green
Justice Coalition <http://massclu.org/green-justice-campaign>.

*Alex works within the innovative Green Justice Coalition, which brings
together constituencies that do not typically work together, to collaborate
on campaigns that lift all boats. The goal is moving all stakeholders
towards a triple bottom line of community empowerment, environmental
sustainability and strong labor standards.*

Bi-Monthly presentations are offered on the 2nd and 4th Thursday throughout
the year. Each event lasts one hour: a 30 min presentation + 30 min
discussion/Q & A.
Please visit our calendar <http://events.encuentro5.org> for the full
listing of upcoming lunch presentations. You can view our previous
BBLSevent with Renata Teodoro of the Student Immigrant Movement at
live.encuentro5.org

This series is a partnership between encuentro5 and other non-profits and
community groups from the Greater Boston region. The aim is to
serve as a resource to the progressive community, providing education and
networking opportunities, and to advance the goals of the presenting
organizations. As whole, the series aims to build greater cross-issue
awareness and cooperation.

All Brown Bag Lunch events take place at encuentro5: 9 Hamilton Place, #2A,
