*Music of Beethoven*, including the *Violin Sonata in G Major*, Opus 96
and the *“Archduke” Trio*, Opus 97.
*Nicholas Kitchen*, violin and *Yeesun Kim*, cello — both of the Borromeo
Quartet, called "simply the best there is" by the /Boston Globe/, joined
by *Victor Rosenbaum*, piano.
These two works represent the transition from Beethoven's middle or "heroic"
period to the deeply philosophical music of the late period.
The audience is invited to join the musicians and Peace Action members at a
reception after the concert.

Nicholas Kitchen is a solo violinist, chamber musician, teacher, and
technology innovator, whose musicianship was hailed by /The New York
Times /as "thrilling, vibrant and captivating".
-------- YEESUN KIM, CELLO ---------------------------------------------------
Yeesun Kim teaches cello at the New England Conservatory and has performed as
a soloist and chamber musician at illustrious concert halls and festivals in
over 20 countries, earning the prasie of /The New York Times/ and many
others. She plays on a Peregrino Zanetto cello, circa 1576.
-------- VICTOR ROSENBAUM, PIANO ---------------------------------------------

Victor Rosenbaum was chair of the New England Conservatory piano department
for more than ten years and director of the Longy School of Music for 15
years. He has performed widely as soloist and in chamber music ensembles at
Rockport and other festivals. An accomplished composer and conductor,
Rosenbaum gives master classes and lectures worldwide and has recorded works
of Beethoven and Schubert on Bridge Records.
