Educational Conference Call on the Philippines 
"Climate Disaster and Militarization in the Philippines"

It is now one month since the devestating typhoon hit the Philippines.
Thought to be a product of human-caused climate change, Typhoon Haiyan has
been called the biggest storm in recorded history.  Hear a discussion about
the devestation, recovery and the militarization of the Philippinesand the
US pivot to Asia-Pacific.

The educational conference call will be on Sunday, December 15 at 8 PM
(EST).  All are welcome

Hear:

Renato Reyes Jr. is the National Secretary-General of BAYAN Philippines, and
has been a leader in the country's mass movement against US militarization
for over 20 years. Bayan Philippines is currently leading a national
grassroots disaster relief and rehabilitation effort for victims of Typhoon
Haiyan.  He will be calling from the Philippines, where he has been
overseeing relief efforts.

Bernadette Ellorin is the chairperson for the US Chapter of BAYAN, or BAYAN
USA, based in New York City and a member of the UNAC Administrative
Committee.

Rhonda Ramiro is the secretary-general for the US Chapter of BAYAN, or BAYAN
USA, based in Oakland, CA.
