Demand Whole Foods raise workers' wages and reinstate Ryan, a cook recently
fired merely for joining co-workers in asking for more pay! Ryan and
supporters will picket <https://www.facebook.com/events/1052174258166738/>
the Jamaica Plain WF store at 413 Centre Street, this Saturday 11/14,
starting at 4 pm. You're invited!

*Background*: Whole Foods claims they support "team member happiness," but
when 16 so-called team members petitioned for a $1/hr raise in response to
grueling workloads, the company fired the first worker to sign the
petition, Ryan! Employees at the JP Whole Foods also sought improvements in
working conditions (such as constant intense heat and poor ventilation)
that were making some of them sick. Petitioning brought some improvements
but also Ryan's termination, meant to intimidate workers from taking group
action in the future. You can call Whole Foods' regional office at 617
492-5500 and tell them to re-hire Ryan & raise employees' pay! Please
consider shopping somewhere else until Ryan is reinstated.
