You are invited to join our third annual conference on the theme "Building
a Socialist Political Force: Social Movements and the Left in an Election
Year."  The conference will feature speakers on important issues facing the
Left and socialists, as well as a full range of workshops that call us to
action, because we all believe that another world is possible. We hope
you'll join us for an amazing day!



*9:00 AM | Registration*



*10:00 AM | Opening Plenary | **Domestic Issues: Class, Race and Gender *

*Savina Martin*, Eastern Massachusetts Chair of the new Poor Peoples
Campaign will focus on the 50th year anniversary of Dr. King's Poor
People's Campaign and upcoming actions.  *Louise Parker*, University of
Massachusetts - Boston, will talk about Single Payer and the creation of a
National Health Care System as two examples of non-reformist reforms. *Monica
Poole*, Professor and Chair, Department of History and Social Sciences,
Bunker Hill Community College, will discuss how our unjust responses to
sexual violence threatens the unity that is necessary for us to build a
better society.



*1:30 PM | Lunch Plenary | **Electoral Strategies*

Our lunchtime plenary presents different perspectives on the 2018 elections
and electoral politics, seeking common ground and strengthening the
movement:  presentations by members of: Freedom Road Socialist
Organization, Socialist Party of Boston, Our Revolution and Democratic
Socialists of America, the Communist Party USA of Greater Boston, Greater
Boston Chapter of the Green-Rainbow Party.



*4:00 PM | Closing Plenary | **U.S. Imperialism and the Crises in Korea and
Palestine*

*Jill Stein*, former Green Party presidential candidate, will discuss the
crisis in Korea and US imperialism, and *Ari Wohlfeiler*, National Deputy
Director of Jewish Voice for Peace will focus on Palestinian rights.



*11:30 AM Morning and 2:30 PM Afternoon | Workshops*

Two sessions of participatory workshops will showcase movement-building
work and issues.  Topics include:  Puerto Rico; immigrant rights and
deportation; Drugs, Violence and Free Trade; Jobs not Jails; lessons from
Gramsci; Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions of Israel; socialist organizing
strategies; digital security; labor issues in education.
