June 28 marks 10 years since the U.S.-backed coup in Honduras. Since
then, hundreds of environmental defenders, campesino and union leaders,
journalists, LGBT leaders and members of the resistance movement have
been murdered, beaten and jailed.

Join us in the streets!

*10th Anniversary of Honduran Coup*
Sat June 29: 2:00PM - 4:00PM -- JFK Federal Building (15 Sudbury St.,
Boston)

Additional Action in Chelsea on Friday, June 28 at 6:00 pm (see below)

For the past few months, the popular movement, especially students,
teachers, doctors, & nurses, have organized powerful protests in the
streets against the privatization of health care and education. Despite
forcing the right-wing legislature to back down, the protests have
continued, calling for an end to the regime of Juan Orlando Hernández
and U.S. intervention.

Now is a critical time to bring awareness to the crisis in Honduras and
the role the U.S. continues to play propping up the illegitimate
government and fueling repression against the population.

Boston CISPES and allies are organizing a rally on the 29th outside of
the JFK Building from 2:00PM - 4:00PM. Join us as we call on Congress to
suspend military and police aid to Juan Orlando Hernández's regime by
passing the Berta Cáceres Human Rights in Honduras Act.
