Resisting Barriers, Building Bridges with Cuba

    August 24 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm  (Concert at 6)

The Resistance Center for Peace and Justice joins with New City Brewery,
Laudable Productions and the Havana music sensation Cimafunk
<https://www.facebook.com/CimafunkOficial/> for an afternoon of
information and an evening of music.

Cimafunk may be the most exciting new face in Cuba’s music scene and is
coming to Easthampton on August 24, 2019 for a live concert at the
Millside Park, which is located at 2 Ferry Street, Easthampton,
Massachusetts. ***Free concert starts at 6 pm.***

Cimafunk is a free being defying classification, a pilgrim in search of
new musical miscegenation and the reunion of black music. He believes in
nothing but the power of the Groove and the cathartic communion of
dancing bodies. A renaissance man, conscious of his roots and musical
ancestry, Cimafunk’s music looks firmly into the future.

*****Before the concert join us from 4- 5pm at the New City Brewery,
next to Millside Park, for a panel discussion, Resisting Barriers,
Building Bridges with Cuba, to find out how you can still travel to
Cuba, hear about the strong U.S.-Cuba links through its Afro-descendant
community and culture and how you can help to make Cuba stays accessible
to U.S. visitors.

The panel discussion is sponsored by The Resistance Center for Peace and
Justice.

Both the panel discussion and the concert are free and open to the public.
