Every week, we hear about yet another person who has been arrested or 
detained for driving without a license. This past year, undocumented 
leaders from across Massachusetts have been fighting to pass the Work 
and Family Mobility Act, which would give undocumented immigrants access 
to drivers licenses. This bill has been stuck in the Transportation 
Committee for months, and it must be voted out of committee by this 
Wednesday, February 5th. Cosecha Massachusetts Immigrant leaders and 
their allies cannot sit by to see another family get separated because 
Massachusetts still has yet to pass drivers licenses. If the bill is not 
passed by the end of January, immigrants and allies will begin a hunger 
strike until the bill is voted favorably out of committee.

Please join us on Monday, February 3rd at 10:30am to stand with 
immigrant leaders and their allies as they launch the hunger strike.

Cada semana, escuchamos sobre otra persona que ha sido arrestada o 
detenida por conducir sin licencia. Los líderes indocumentados de todo 
Massachusetts han estado luchando para aprobar la Ley de Movilidad 
Laboral y Familiar (Work and Family Mobility Act), que otorgaría a los 
inmigrantes indocumentados acceso a licencias de conducir. Este proyecto 
de ley ha estado atascado en el comité de transporte por meses, y debe 
ser votado y retirado del comité para este Miércoles, 5 de febrero. Los 
líderes inmigrantes de Cosecha Massachusetts y sus aliados no pueden 
quedarse sentados para ver a otra familia separada porque MA aún no ha 
aprobado las licencias de conducir. Si el proyecto de ley no se aprueba 
a fines de enero, los inmigrantes y sus aliados comenzarán una huelga de 
hambre hasta que el proyecto de ley sea votado favorable fuera del comité.
