In a provocative article on left strategy, "Organizing the Democratic
Capacity for Transformative Change: The 2020 Election and Beyond
John W. Lawrence draws lessons from 2016 to argue that the left has the
capacity overwhelm the undemocratic aspects of US elections to build a *proto
*mass party representing working people while operating, at least
initially, as a caucus within the Democratic Party.* John will be joined by
Suren Moodliar, co-editor of a recent anthology on voter mobilization,
Mobilizing Voters in an Emergency*
