Live performances and discussions with socially engaged artists from across
the country, including radical poets Matt Sedillo and Raymond ‘Nat’ Turner,
Philadelphia-based musician Melanie Hsu, and progressive folk
singer-songwriter David Rovics. Co-hosted with Tim Sheard (of Hard Ball
Press) and Linda Liu, this show will provide a chance to engage both the
artists’ creative practice and the theories and experiences that inform
them. How can art help to change the world?

Raymond Nat Turner Raymond Nat Turner is *Black Agenda Report*

Matt Sedillo Matt Sedillo has been described as the "best political poet in
America" as well as "the poet laureate of the struggle" by academics,
poets, and journalists alike. He has appeared on CSPAN and has been
featured in the Los Angeles Times, among other publications. Among many
venues where Matt has spoken is the Casa de las Americas in Havana,
Cuba.  He is the current literary director of the dA Center for the Arts
and author of *Mowing Leaves of Grass* (Flowersong Press). His poetry has

Melanie Hsu Mel Hsu is a sonic painter of impossible worlds. As a
multi-instrumentalist, Mel ventures from her classical roots into
collaborations with dancers, filmmakers, rappers, poets and visual artists.
When not in a pandemic, Mel’s restless spirit finds adventure along the
East Coast and internationally as musical support for various ensembles and
projects. Mel is an educator and Co-Director at Girls Rock Philly, where
she works to amplify the voices of girls, trans and gender-expansive youth
