Rally in Support of Protesting Indian Farmers and the Right to Dissent
5.00 pm, September 26, 2021
Harvard Square, Cambridge (near T station)

September 26,2021 marks the 10th month of farmers protests all across
India and Morchas (Encampments) surrounding Delhi. Hundreds of thousands
have been sitting peacefully. Yet they have been attacked with water
cannons, Lathis ( sticks) and been fired upon. More than 650 farmers
have died in these encampments. In other places, the police and security
forces have unleashed state terror. Monopoly media keeps maligning them
as “ terrorists”, “ criminals”. Farmers are heroically fighting all
these attacks peacefully and have called for the unity of all the people
of India, irrespective of religion, caste, gender, lifestyle and place
of origin. They are defending the rights of all peoples of India, the
future generations and nature.
Friends of Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) invites you to join a rally on
September 26, 2021, to support the just struggles of Indian farmers in
Defence of the Rights of All and for a life of Dignity, Justice and decency.
We will have poetry, music, speeches and Langar (food provided by
community kitchen)
