Dear All,

Long-serving Harvard Dining Service worker Aaron Duckett helps care for his
two children, and for two elderly relatives suffering from dementia.
Management promised he could take the summer off, so his spouse agreed to
work at her hospital job during those months. Suddenly Harvard is pulling
the rug out from under Aaron, demanding he return to work now, leaving the
family with no childcare, no elder care & facing impossible choices. Join
the virtual picket line! Contact Director of Labor & Employee Relations
Paul Curran at 617 496-9193, paul_curran at harvard.edu, and demand Harvard
keep its word to a 25+ year employee and union activist! Suggested message:

It is deeply disturbing that Harvard would break its commitment to Aaron
Duckett after so many years of service! Please allow Aaron the summer off
as promised so he can care for his family! Harvard has the resources to
treat all workers fairly.

In Solidarity,

Geoff Carens, Union Rep, HUCTW / AFSCME Local 3650
(they/them)
