Dear All,

HUCTW* members will hold an informational picket on Thursday, October 20
starting at 12:30 p.m. We demand HU stop retaliating & discriminating
against workers, and give us a fair contract. You're invited to join us at
the Smith Campus Center, 1350 Mass Ave
<https://goo.gl/maps/tpBsxAovFmhhwqEM8>., steps from Harvard Sq T.

*Background*: HUCTW Union Rep Karen O'Brien has been a fierce defender of
workers' rights for 35+ years. During the Covid pandemic her activism only
increased as she pressed for safety improvements. Harvard retaliated by
demoting Karen and slapping her with a 10% pay cut.

HUCTW member Kevin Harrington, with 13+ years' dedicated service,
contracted long Covid and was harassed by supervisors. Management laid him
off for getting infected, while he was still ill, and has refused to rehire
him since. Meanwhile, HUCTW members have been working without a contract
since 9/30 as Harvard won't offer fair raises.
