Center for Humanities at Tufts and the English department warmly invite 
you for a special event-- a symposium in honor of the late great Marxist 
scholar, critic, and political commentator, *Aijaz Ahmad* (author of/In 
Theory, /and /Lineages of the Present,/ and many other important 
works)./Lineages of the Present: Ideology and Politics in Contemporary 
South Asia/

2000) established him not only as one of the most influential critical 
theorists from South Asia, but also as one of the most powerful voices 
on the topic of imperialism.

Join us on Friday, Sept. 29th at 6 p.m. in Barnum Hall for the keynote 
presentation byVijay Prashad
