Abandon,²</i> and a news piece about a Malian village that decided
together to end excision. Hear updates on the campaign to stop
FGM, a practice which endangers the health and lives of millions of
women and girls in Africa. In the video, 18 ex-excisers sing
about stopping FGM, bury their knives, and dance in
celebration.</font></div>

<div><font color="#000000">Susan McLucas is just back from three
months in Bamako, Mali, where she works with the Malian NGO Sini
Sanuman (³Healthy Tomorrow² in the local language) fighting
against female genital mutilation (FGM), also called excision.
Susan has been working much of the last 10 years in Mali. She
produced a new music video with ex-excisers, to be shown on national
TV in Mali and across West Africa.<br>

Sini Sanuman has 45 partner groups in the Pledge Against Excision
campaign in Mali. They now have 23,000 signatures on the Pledge,
which they will turn in to the legislature, in an ongoing effort to
outlaw FGM on the national level.</font><br>
