The Israeli government denied participants entry into Gaza; however, the conference, co-sponsored by the World Health Organization, went on anyway, via video conferencing between Gaza and Ramallah. Boston activists organized a very successful press conference in Jerusalem and others organized a large protest at the Gaza checkpoint. Jean and Susan will share their experiences in Israel and the West Bank and discuss the impact of Israel’s most recent assault on Gaza.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><br></font></div><div class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:Arial">Jean Entine is a member of the national board of Jewish Voice for Peace and Susan is active in both the Boston Coalition for Palestinian Rights and Jewish Women for Justice in Israel/Palestine. Susan has traveled to the region four times.
