<p>The seventh annual Boston Skillshare is almost here. After last
year's enormous success with the MIT space, we're delighted to have a
chance to use it again. </p>

<h3>the basics</h3>
<ul>
<li><strong>when:</strong> saturday and sunday april 18th and 19th,
2009, with workshops happening from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm both days.</li>
<li><strong>where:</strong> The <a
href="http://web.mit.edu/facilities/construction/completed/stata.html">MIT
Stata Center</a> (32 Vassar street, Cambridge, MA) </li>

</ul>
<h3>how to attend</h3>
<p>Come on over! We request a $3-10 sliding scale donation for the
whole weekend. With your donation you'll receive a healthy serving of
knowledge, and also some vegan/raw/gluten-free food... oh and a cool
button too! You can pay once and attend as many workshops as you like!
If you'd rather not pay, you can still come, and we encourage you to
volunteer to help out with cleaning or other tasks.</p>
<p>If you'd like to attend a specific workshop, take a look at the <a
href="http://www.bostonskillshare.org/2009/workshops">workshop
descriptions</a>,
but please show up at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the
workshop so that you can come to the registration table and sign in.</p>
<h3>directions to the Stata Center</h3>
<ul>
<li><strong>maps:</strong> The Stata Center is located at 32 Vassar
street, Cambridge, MA. Check out the following maps: <a

<li><strong>by bike: </strong>There are LOTS of bike racks around
the Stata Center.</li>
<li><strong>by train: </strong>The closest MBTA train stop is
Kendall Square on the Red Line. </li>
<li><strong>by car: </strong>Parking is <strong>extremely</strong>
difficult near the Stata Center. For this reason (and many others), we
encourage you to travel by other means like bicycles, trains, buses, or
feet! </li>

<p>Next Swapfest is <strong>April 19, 2009.</strong></p>
<p>The <a href="http://w1mx.mit.edu/">MIT Radio Society</a>, in
conjunction with the <a href="http://web.mit.edu/w1xm/www/">MIT UHF
Repeater Association</a>, the <a href="http://web.mit.edu/miters/www/">MIT
Electronics Research Society</a>, and the <a
href="http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/%7Ew1af/"> Harvard Wireless Club</a>,
sponsors a Swapfest on the third Sunday of each month, <em>April</em>
through <em>October</em>. This is a place to buy, sell, and swap
amateur radio, electronic, and computer equipment. Hams and non-hams
alike are welcome.</p>

<p>The Swapfest is held at MIT’s <a
href="http://whereis.mit.edu/map-jpg?mapterms=n4">Albany Street Garage</a>
at the corner of Albany and Main Streets in Cambridge. The gate opens
for buyers at 9am. There is a small admission fee.</p>
<p><a
